Training Review Brief

To ensure that the PARt training materials complement and build upon existing training, the PARt project began with a review of training currently being delivered to police and healthcare workers in the Northern Territory. This paper presents the findings from this review, which maps existing training and identifies training gaps and needs.

Findings from the PARt Consultations

Collaborative workshops were held between July 2022 and May 2023. The workshops consisted of a presentation of current DFSV data and trends in the Northern Territory, an overview of the PARt project and the findings from the PARt Training Review.

Key Achievements

This report covers the initial funding period of July 2022 to June 2024, which was supported by the Northern Territory Government under its Community and Place-Based Partnerships for DFSV Prevention and Response Grant. As this funding period has concluded, the report serves as the final summary of the achievements and progress made during these two years. This report begins with an overview of the key achievements of the PARt project, followed by findings from monitoring and evaluation activities. It will then discuss the barriers and challenges encountered during the project, before concluding with reflections on future directions and sustainability.

In summarising the work done over the past two years, this report highlights the progress made but also offers insights into how the PARt project has contributed to continued improvements in the response to DFSV in the Northern Territory.
