Training for NT Police and Health Workers

The PARt program was designed by Dr Chay Brown, and developed through a consortium of Tangentyere Council Aboriginal Corporation, Women’s Safety Services of Central Australia (WoSSCA), the Domestic Violence Legal Service (DVLS) and the Legal Aid Northern Territory (LANT).

The PARt training program is now embedded within the Tangentyere Family Violence Prevention Division at Tangentyere Council, and is governed by the PARt Steering Committee, which includes NT Police, NT Health, DCF, ACCOs, and DFSV specialist services from around the Territory. The steering committee provides oversight and guidance on the PARt training delivery. PARt receives the majority of its funding from the Judith Neilson Foundation, and some from the Northern Territory Government.
